junior coaching
EATSC Junior Squash – Saturdays
Our Junior Squash programme runs every Saturday for children aged 7–15, welcoming complete beginners through to experienced players. With three weekly sessions (9–10am, 10–11am and 11am–12pm), players are grouped appropriately so they can develop at the right pace.
Sessions focus on skills, drills, conditioned games and match play, all delivered in a fun and supportive setting that builds confidence as well as ability. A monthly tournament takes place on the last Saturday of each month, and there are opportunities for county representation for players ready to progress further. The programme is led by an England Squash–qualified coach who is also the Junior County Team Lead.

competing
Our squash programme offers a strong mix of competitive and inclusive opportunities, making it easy for players of all standards to enjoy regular match play. We currently run eight internal leagues, each with six players, structured with promotion and relegation so players compete at the right level and continue to progress. Alongside this, we host a ladies-only league that is open to non-members, providing a welcoming route into competitive squash.
For those keen to represent the club, we have six teams competing in the Norfolk Squash Leagues, playing against clubs across the county. The competition calendar is further strengthened by a range of annual tournaments, including the Norfolk County Close Championships, the England Squash Senior Inter County Championships, and our own club squash championships. Together, these leagues and events create a lively, well-supported squash scene with opportunities to compete throughout the year.
RACKET BALL
Racketball (also known as Squash57), as played at the club, is the international version of racquetball played in the United States. It is played on a squash court using a ball that is bouncier than a traditional squash ball, giving the game a clear connection to squash. However, the livelier ball creates a style of play with its own distinct character, and the sport has developed a loyal and enthusiastic following.
The bouncier ball makes the game less explosive than squash, which appeals to squash and tennis players looking to extend their playing careers without the physical strain often associated with squash. That said, don’t be misled—while Racketball is easy to pick up, it soon reveals its own unique challenges.
